NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY: Friday, February 1st.Please join us in wearing red on this day to honor and support the awareness of heart disease.

  MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! Tuesday, February 5th at 9:15 a.m. in the Coffee Bar! Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday in that particular month. The Center will provide a special treat. Feel free to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with us!

 GRANDPARENT LUNCH AND LEARN PROGRAM: Wednesday, February 6th at 12:00. Magistrates Jack Pico and Debbie Smith of Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Department will be presenting on overview of Grandparents Visitation and Custody Rights under Ohio Law during a lunch and learn event at 12:00 pm on February 6.  The presentation will be held in the gymnasium of the Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Avenue, Girard OH.  The public is invited to attend this free event.  Reservations are required as a light lunch will be provided.  Please RSVP by calling the Center at (330)545-6596 by February 1.

  COOKIE DECORATING WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, February 12th at 9:15 a.m. in the coffee bar. Deanna from Windsor House will be here to entertain us with some bingo fun!

 PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP: Wednesday, February 13th from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the parlor. Amy Plant from Area Agency on Aging will be holding a support group for care givers and their loved ones on dealing with Parkinson’s. The group will meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

 4th WARD BLOCK WATCH MEETING: Wednesday, February 13th at 5:00 p.m. Feel free to bring a friend or neighbor.

 CRAFT CLASS: Tuesday, February 19th at 9:30 a.m. in the Coffee Bar. SIGN-UPS REQUIRED- PLEASE CONTACT Jen.

POTLUCK BREAKFAST: Wednesday, February 27th at 9:00 a.m. in the coffee bar. Come warm up with us and join us for a nice hot breakfast. Please bring a dish to share.

MOVIES IN THE PARLOR: Every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. Come enjoy and relax with a movie and have some popcorn together with the staff. See Jen with any movie suggestions.

DAILY & WEEKLY PROGRAMS:

COFFEE BAR: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 FITNESS ROOM HOURS: Monday & Friday- 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday- 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

MIND GAMES: Daily at 9:00 a.m. Join in the fun and exercise your brain at the same time.

Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Friday’s Noon to 1:00 p.m.

 YOGA/PILATES CLASSES:Call Roselyn Ragozine for more information and to check class times and days, (330) 719-4296.

 STRETCH EXERCISES: Held in the parlor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. Stretching will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27th.

The Wii GAMING SYSTEM and AIR HOCKEY OR PING PONG are set up in the parlor for members to use. The gaming hours are during the Center’s hours of operation. Please ask the staff for assistance.

KNIT and CROCHET CLASS: Mondays from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring your own yarn, needles, etc. Class is free and open to our members.

 COMPUTER CAFE: Mondays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 ONE ON ONE COMPUTER TUTORING: Please contact Jen or Christine to make an appointment.

 MEDICARE: Contact our social worker Christine at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment.

HEAP PROGRAM: See Jen or Christine for information regarding qualifications for the HEAP/Winter Crisis Program.

OHIO BENEFIT BANK ASSISTANCE: Call the Center to set up an appointment with Jen for assistance.

NUTRITION MEAL PROGRAM/Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs: Monday– Friday at 2:30 p.m.  You must call reservation in at least 2 days in advance at (330) 675-2486. While there is no fee for meals, client donations are accepted toward the cost of meals.  The contributions are an important part of the funding for the program. Menu calendars are available at the Multi-Generational Center. No Meals February 18th due to President’s Day.
