 MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! Tuesday, August 8th at 9:15 a.m. in the coffee bar! Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday in that particular month. The Center will provide a special treat. Feel free to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with us!

 REGENERATIVE MEDICINE SEMINAR WITH PINNACLE HEALTH CONCEPTS: Wednesday, August 9th at 9:30a.m. in the coffee bar Dr. Eugene Mennow will be coming to talk to us about Regenerative Medicines and will be open to questions.

  4th WARD BLOCK WATCH MEETING: THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE AUGUST 9th at 5:00 p.m. Bring a friend/neighbor.

NEW* STRETCH PLUS PROGRAMBeginning the week of August 7th, the Center will be offering its Fitness Stretch Plus classes five days a week.  The stretching exercises are designed specifically to increase strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m.  Tuesday and Thursday classes will be held at 1:15 p.m. Healthy snacks will be provided following each class.  This program is sponsored in part by The Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation, a supporting organization of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

GIRARD END OF SUMMER PARADE: Saturday, August 12th at 7:00 p.m. Come and see the center and others and join the fun for Girard’s 11th Annual End of Summer Parade! The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. and proceed south on Rt.422 from Stambaugh to Liberty St. in Girard, Ohio.

CRAFT CLASS: Tuesday, August 15th at 9:30 a.m. in the Coffee Bar. See Jen to sign up

 BINGO WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, August 22nd at 9:15 a.m. in the coffee bar. Deanna from Windsor House will be entertaining us with some bingo fun and prizes!

A TOUR OF THE MEDITERRANEAN POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Wednesday, August 23rd from 12-2:00 p.m. in the Gym. Please join us for a tasty potluck meal and bring your favorite Mediterranean inspired dish, such as an Italian, Spanish, Greek, or French dish! PLEASE SIGN UP. Sign-up sheet will be on table next to copy machine or give us a call.

MOVIES IN THE PARLOR: Every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. Come enjoy and relax with a movie and have some popcorn together with the staff. See Jen with any movie suggestions.

DAILY & WEEKLY PROGRAMS

 COFFEE BAR: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

FITNESS ROOM HOURS: Monday & Friday- 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday- 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

MIND GAMES: Daily at 9:00 a.m. Join in on the fun and exercise your brain at the same time. NO GAMES ON TUESDAYS.

 Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Fridays from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

 YOGA, CHAIR YOGA, PILATES CLASSESChair Yoga/Yoga: Tuesdays/Thursdays. Pilates: Fridays. Call Roselyn Ragozine for more information and to check class times, (330) 719-4296.

The Wii GAMING SYSTEM and AIR HOCKEY OR PING PONG are set up in the parlor for members to use. The gaming hours are during the Center’s hours of operation. Please ask the staff for assistance.

Adult Basketball or Corn Hole:  Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the gym. Minimum of 2 players and must be members of the center.

 

KNIT and CROCHET CLASS: Mondays from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring your own yarn, needles, etc. Class is free and open to our members.

 COMPUTER CAFE: Mondays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 ONE ON ONE COMPUTER TUTORING: Computer tutoring available by appointment. Contact Jen or Christine to make an appointment.

 MEDICARE: Contact our social worker, Christine at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment.

 HEAP PROGRAM: See Jen or Christine for information regarding qualifications for the HEAP/Summer Crisis Program.

 OHIO BENEFIT BANK ASSISTANCE: Call the Center to set up an appointment with Jen for assistance.

NUTRITION MEAL PROGRAM/Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs: Monday– Friday at 2:30 p.m.  You must call reservation in at least 2 days in advance at (330) 675-2486. Suggested donation is $2.00/meal for seniors 60+ and/or their spouses. Menu calendars are available at the Multi-Generational Center.
