 MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! Wednesday, November 7th at 9:15 a.m. in the coffee bar! Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday in that particular month. The Center will provide a special treat. Feel free to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with us!

  VETERANS DAY BREAKFAST: Friday, November 9th at 9:00 a.m.  Come join us as we remember and honor all of our Veterans. Breakfast will be provided by the center and our generous sponsors.

 YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY MEMORY TESTING: Monday, November 12th from 9-11. Are you interested in having a memory screening? YSU’s Gerontology program will be hosting a FREE 10 minute memory screening as part of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s National Memory Screening Program.

 BRIGHT HEALTH/MEDICARE SEMINAR: Tuesday, November 13th at 9:15 a.m. Felicia Davis will be talking about the basics of Medicare and about the new partnership between Bright Health and Mercy Health in the Youngstown area.

911 REGISTRY SEMINAR: Wednesday, November 14th at 9:15 a.m. in the dining hall. Mauro Divieste will be here to talk to us about the importance of the 911 special needs registry, which gives firefighters, police and all other first responders a way to be better prepared in case of an emergency.

 MONTHLY BLOCK WATCH MEETING: is on Wednesday, November 14th at 5:00 p.m. Bring a friend or neighbor.

  MIRACLE ON EASY STREET PLAY AND LUNCH TRIP: Friday, December 14th at 9:00 a.m.  We will leave from the center and go to Powers Auditorium/DeYor Performing Arts Center for Youngstown’s original Christmas Spectacular, Miracle on Easy Street. Tickets are $12.00. Following the show we will go to The Federal for lunch. You are responsible for the cost of your meal. See Jen if you would like to attend. SIGN-UPS ARE REQUIRED BY Wednesday, NOVMEMBER 14TH.

  THANKSGIVING POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Thursday, November 15th from 12:00-2:00 p.m. in the Gym. Bring your favorite dish to share and the Center will provide the turkey! Please sign up at the front desk if you plan on attending and what you are going to bring to share. The center would also like to send a big THANK YOU to Leora Greathouse for volunteering to cook the turkey, we greatly appreciate her kindness!

 MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT ENDS DECEMBER 7th: OSHIIP Volunteers will be here on November 19th by appointment only. Please sign up at the front desk. You can also contact our social worker, Christine, at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment

  BINGO WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, November 20th at 9:15 a.m. in the dining hall. Deanna from Windsor House will be entertaining us with some bingo fun and prizes!


MOVIES IN THE PARLOR: Every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Come enjoy and relax with a movie and have some popcorn together with the staff. See Jen with any movie suggestions.

STRETCH EXERCISES: Held in the parlor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:15 in the parlor. No Class on Thursday November 15th & 22nd.

 MIND GAMES: Daily at 9:00 a.m. Join in on the fun and exercise your brain at the same time.

 Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Fridays from Noon to 1:00 p.m. No class on November 23rd

The Wii GAMING SYSTEM and AIR HOCKEY OR PING PONG are set up in the parlor for members to use. The gaming hours are during the Center’s hours of operation. Please ask the staff for assistance.

KNIT and CROCHET CLASS: Mondays from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring your own yarn, needles, etc. Class is free and open to our members.

 COMPUTER CAFE: Mondays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 ONE ON ONE COMPUTER/TECHNOLOGY TUTORING: Computer tutoring available by appointment. Contact Jen or Christine to make an appointment.

 MEDICARE: Contact our social worker, Christine at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment.

 HEAP PROGRAM: See Jen or Christine for information regarding qualifications for the HEAP

 OHIO BENEFIT BANK ASSISTANCE: Call the Center to set up an appointment with Jen for assistance.

NUTRITION MEAL PROGRAM/Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs: Monday– Friday at 2:30 p.m.  You must call reservation in at least 2 days in advance at (330) 675-2486. Suggested donation is $2.00/meal for seniors 60+ and/or their spouses. Menu calendars are available at the Multi-Generational Center. No Meals November 6th, 22nd, and 23rd.
