 ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION SEMINAR: Tuesday, December 4th at 9:30 a.m. This is an educational Program brought to us by the Alzheimer’s Association. The topic will be The Basics: Memory loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. If you are planning to attend, please call to register at 1-800-272-3900.

 MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Tuesday, December 5th at 9:15 a.m. Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday in that particular month. The Center will provide a special treat. Feel free to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with us!

 KRIS KRINGLE POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Tuesday, December 11th at 12:00 p.m. in the Gym! Will Santa show up?? Come find out! Bring your favorite dish to share! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE FRONT DESK IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING. Come join the holiday fun!

 PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP: Wednesday, December 12th from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the parlor. Amy Plant from Area Agency on Aging will be holding a support group for care givers and their loved ones on dealing with Parkinson’s.

  4th WARD BLOCK WATCH HOLIDAY PARTY: Wednesday, December 12th at 5:00 p.m. Bring a friend or neighbor and a dish to share.

HOLIDAY COOKIE DECORATING WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, December 18th at 9:15 a.m. Join Deanna from Windsor House for Cookie fun!

CRAFT CLASS: Tuesday, December 18th at 9:30 a.m. in the Coffee Bar. SIGN-UPS REQUIRED- PLEASE CONTACT JEN.

  HOLIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT: Thursday, December 20th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Come and enjoy a great family night as the center brings you a night full of holiday activities and memories to share. LOOK AT THE ATTACHED EVENT SHEET FOR ALL DETAILS! WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!

AREA AGENCY CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP: Friday, December 21st, at 1:30 in the Parlor. Amy Plant and Ingrid Moore from Area Agency on Aging will be offer Caregiver support here at the center. December’s topic is:  Making It through the Holidays- While it is often a joyous and happy time, the holidays can bring their own particular brand of stress and feelings of obligation and exhaustion. Come and join other caregivers in discussing your story and caregiving journey while also receiving practical advice on managing the extra demands of holidays and special events. We will also discuss practical ways to include your loved one, and deal with difficult emotions of changing the way we celebrate.

MOVIES IN THE PARLOR: Every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Come enjoy and relax with a movie and have some popcorn together with the staff. See Jen with any movie suggestions.

STRETCH EXERCISES: Held in the parlor on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:15 in the parlor. NO STRETCHING ON DECEMBER 11th, or 14th

 MIND GAMES: Daily at 9:00 a.m. Join in on the fun and exercise your brain at the same time.

 Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Fridays from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

The Wii GAMING SYSTEM and AIR HOCKEY OR PING PONG are set up in the parlor for members to use. The gaming hours are during the Center’s hours of operation. Please ask the staff for assistance.

KNIT and CROCHET CLASS: Mondays from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bring your own yarn, needles, etc. Class is free and open to our members.

 COMPUTER CAFE: Mondays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 ONE ON ONE COMPUTER/TECHNOLOGY TUTORING: Computer tutoring available by appointment. Contact Jen or Christine to make an appointment.

 MEDICARE: Contact our social worker, Christine at 330-545-6596 to make an appointment.

 HEAP PROGRAM: See Jen or Christine for information regarding qualifications for the HEAP

 OHIO BENEFIT BANK ASSISTANCE: Call the Center to set up an appointment with Jen for assistance.

NUTRITION MEAL PROGRAM/Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs: Monday– Friday at 2:30 p.m.  You must call reservation in at least 2 days in advance at (330) 675-2486. Suggested donation is $2.00/meal for seniors 60+ and/or their spouses. Menu calendars are available at the Multi-Generational Center.
