Scheduled Programs for September


My Path Through is an 8 session, grief support group where you meet weekly to discuss a variety of topics related to grief and healing. Some topics included are anger, defining grief, guilt, getting through the holidays, physical well-being, self-care, and coping strategies. These sessions will be conducted by an Ohio Living Certified Grief Counselor. Sessions will be on Thursdays beginning September 14th through November 2nd from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. To register or for more information. PICKLEBALL FUN: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the gym. Pickleball is a game where players use special paddles and a wiffle ball. It is something of a mix between tennis, racquetball, and ping pong. Join us for some pickleball fun!


BOARD GAMES: Thursdays in the coffee bar from 10:00-12:00p.m.

MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Wednesday, September 6th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the Coffee Bar! Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday. Let’s celebrate with a special treat!

CHAIR MASSAGES WITH RUTH: Friday, September 8th and Friday, September 22nd from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Come let the hands of Ruth work out those aches and pains. MUST SIGN UP!

BINGO WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, September 12th from 9:15-10:00 a.m. in the coffee bar. Deanna from Windsor House will be here to entertain us with some bingo fun! Come and play for a chance to win some of your favorite farmers market items.  

END OF SUMMER POTLUCK BREAKFAST: Wednesday, September 13th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Bring a dish to share and join us for our last summer potluck.  Please sign up.

CRAFT CLASS: Monday, September 18th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the coffee bar. Come and check out this month’s craft!

COOKIE DECORATING: Tuesday, September 19th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the coffee bar.

GREETING CARD CLASS:  Wednesday, September 20th from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Come get crafty and let Lucy teach you how to make the perfect greeting card. Please Sign up by Monday, September 18th.

HEALTH SCREENINGS WITH MERCY HEALTH: Wednesday, September 20th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose screenings will be available.

STAFF BINGO: Tuesday, September 26th from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

ABC POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Wednesday, September 27th from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Let’s have fun with it! Bring a dish (or it can be the main ingredient in the dish) that starts with the first letter of your first or last name. For example, Tom Jones would bring something that starts with a “T” or a “J”.   Please sign up if you are planning to attend.

TRIVIA FUN & ICE CREAM BAR: Friday, September 29th from 10:00-12:00 p.m. in the coffee bar. Have fun testing your knowledge on different trivia topics with teammates. We will also have an ice cream bar available with all the toppings.


We will be collecting nonperishable food items from August 17th through October 17th. Please help by donating. All proceeds will be given to the Emmanuel Care Center in Girard. There will be a location up front by the offices of the center to bring your food items. We appreciate your support and donations.

MIND GAMES: Daily from 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. Join in the fun and exercise your brain at the same time.

COMMUNITY GARDENING: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Fridays from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

YOGA: Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. & Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

OPEN GYM BUDDIES: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 11:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.

STRETCH EXERCISES: Monday-Friday at 9:30-10:00 a.m.
