MONTHLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Tuesday, October 1^st from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the Coffee Bar! Each month we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday. Let’s celebrate with a special treat!

MEDICARE PART D 2025 UPDATES WITH ONESTA INSURANCE: Wednesday, October 2^nd from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Learn about new 2025 provisions from the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) and what that means for you and your Medicare Part D prescription coverage in the coming year.

COFFEE & DONUTS WITH EXPAND HEALTH AT HOME: Friday, October 4^th from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Enjoy some donuts and learn about how this locally, family-owned business can help you stay independent at home. 

10th ANNUAL APPLE COOK OFF: Monday, October 7^th from 9:15- 10:00 a.m.  in the coffee bar. Participate by making your favorite apple dish and entering it in our tasting contest. Come have some fall fun with us here at the center. Sign-ups required for entrants, as well as attendees. See staff for more information.

BINGO WITH WINDSOR HOUSE: Tuesday, October 8^th from 9:15-9:45 a.m. in the coffee bar. Deanna from Windsor House will be here to entertain us with some bingo fun! Come and play for a chance to win some of your favorite farmers market items.

VACCINE CLINIC BY APPOINTMENT: Wednesday, October 9^th from 9:30-11:30 p.m. The clinic will be held in the gym. Flu shots will be available. COVID boosters may also be available.  Bring all your insurance cards with you such as Medicare card, Medicaid card, Medicare advantage plan card, secondary insurance card, group health insurance card, Marketplace insurance card, etc. For more information and to make your appointment call 330-545-6596.

POTLUCK BREAKFAST: Monday, October 14^th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the coffee bar. Join us for breakfast with good food and friends. Please sign up if you plan on attending. Bring a dish to share!

FAIR HOUSING SEMINAR: Tuesday, October 15^th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. Legal Aid will be educating us on the basics of fair housing under federal and state law.

FALL PREVENTION WITH MERCY HEALTH: Wednesday, October 16^th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Nurse Stephanie Oakes will be talking with us about the importance of fall prevention.

COOKIE DECORATING: Friday, October 18th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the coffee bar.

CHAIR MASSAGES WITH RUTH: Friday, October 18^th from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Come let the hands of Ruth work out those aches and pains. Must Sign Up! If there Are 2 dates scheduled for the month, please choose only 1 date to give everyone a chance to sign up.

CHOCOLATE BINGO: Monday, October 21^st from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the coffee bar. Everybody loves chocolate! Join us for some bingo fun. 

BOSCOV’S FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS EVENT: Tuesday, October 22^nd.  A $5.00 Donation gives you a 25% discount shopping pass for October 22nd. 100% of the proceeds go to the center. Please see a staff member if interested in purchasing a shopping pass. We will be leaving the center at 10:00 a.m. to go to Boscov’s until 11:45 a.m. We will be going to lunch at O’Charley’s at noon. Lunch is self-paid.  Must sign up.

CRAFTS WITH DEVOTED HEALTH: Wednesday, October 23^rd from 10-11:30 a.m. Debbie will be showing us how to create a beautiful picture that resembles stained glass. Must sign up.

OSHIIP COUNSELING: Thursday, October 24^th from 9:30-3:00 pm by appointment only. The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program will be providing one-on-one counseling for Medicare open enrollment on October 24th by appointment only. Please sign up at the front desk or call 330-545-6596 to make an appointment. Bring your Medicare card and list of prescriptions to your scheduled appointment.

TRIVIA FUN & ICE CREAM BAR: Friday, October 25^th from 10:00-12:00 p.m. in the coffee bar. Have fun testing your knowledge on different trivia topics with teammates. We will also have an ice cream bar available with all the toppings.

CRAFT CLASS: Monday, October 28^th from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the coffee bar. Come and check out this month’s craft!

GREETING CARD CLASS: Tuesday, October 29th from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Let Lucy teach you how to make the perfect greeting card. Seating is limited. Please Sign up by Friday, October 25^th.

HEALTH SCREENINGS WITH MERCY HEALTH: Wednesday, October 30^th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose screenings will be available.

HALLOWEEN POTLUCK LUNCHEON: Thursday, October 31st from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Feel free to dress up for the holiday! Join us for some Halloween fun and bring your favorite dish to share! Please sign up if you are planning to attend.

PICKLEBALL FUN: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the gym. No Pickleball October 9^TH.

BREAKFAST CLUB: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

PUZZLE PALS: Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

BOARD GAMES: Thursdays from 10:00-12:00 p.m.  No Games October 31^st.

MIND GAMES: Daily from 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. Join in the fun and exercise your brain at the same time.

COMMUNITY GARDENING: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Tai Chi: Cost $5.00: Fridays from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

OPEN GYM BUDDIES: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. No Open Gym October 9^th.

STRETCH EXERCISES: Monday-Friday at 9:30-10:00 a.m. Stretching will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the following dates: October 2^nd, 4^th, 7^th, 14^th, and 16^th. Stretching will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 8^th.
